Volunteering your time at PSMS is a great way to meet parents and connect with your school and community.  Some of the opportunities are listed below.  Watch for event dates and volunteer registration in the principal’s weekly newsletters throughout the year.  Contact the PTO with any questions.

PANTHER NIGHTS
These fun student socials held outside school hours each fall would not be possible without many volunteers.  Meet other parents while watching your middle schooler hang with friends.  Opportunities to help include ticket sales, coat check, activity monitor, library games, concessions, etc.

STAFF APPRECIATION
Help us spoil our fantastic staff and administrators! We do little things throughout the year to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them, including Staff Appreciation Week and parent/teacher conferences.

8th GRADE FAREWELL
During the last week of school, 8th grade students enjoy a breakfast, followed by a graduation for parents to attend. Students then take a bus trip to a fun activity for the day and return to school by dismissal.

HEARING & VISION SCREENING
Volunteer to assist with this yearly screening each fall. You’ll assist the district health administrators and facilitate the flow to ensure students move smoothly through the testing process.

THE PTO BOARD
Share your talents and leadership skills as a PTO board member. There are several opportunities and it’s a great way to get to know parents and staff and and give back to PSMS.  2018-19 Board Members and Committee Chairs
